Default Knock Sensor Connector

I've just got a 22 CEL code on my 96 Gravel Ex and am trying to replace the knock sensor as a result.

I've located it ok and managed to get access to the electrical connector under the intercooler where it joins to the ECU wire, but how the hell do you remove the Knock sensor side connector from it's bracket. It looks like it's a plastic clip attached to a metal bracket but I can't see how to remove it. I've tried getting some pliers under the bracket to see if I need to squash two plastic lugs together to release the connector but I can't really see enough to know if that's the right thing to do & I've totally failed so far.

The Knock sensor is an early one which has a 6" wire hard-wired into it and a connector at the end:-

It's that clip at the top that is the fella that's causing all the trouble I think.

Thanks

Mark
