Default Turbo conversion

Running a stock turbo (assume TDO5 16g) on a MY95 STI type RA.

Now, looking for more power so am after a 18g or even 20g. Just seen a seller on ebay with 2.25" housings with 18g and 20g compressor wheels.

Question is, if I use my existing turbo and mate it with this compressor housing, will the turbo bolt straight back on? ie. will it fit?

From what Ive learnt recently having looked into the subject, the core of the turbo will need machining as the recess the 16g wheel sits in needs to be made bigger for the 20G wheel. While the turbo is apart the bearings and seals might as well be replaced also. I ma not convinced that the Ebay 20g wheels and compressors are genuine MHI parts though.

Think maybe best to find maybe a good used example of a complete 18g or 20g turbo.
Now, if I go down this route, can I maintan the existing inlet pipework? I understand the fron entry would need an elbow etc...... Basically, am asking, what will i need to modify if i decide to use a tdo5 18g/20g ??

The work can be done but its not a straight forward swap.
I considered upgrading the 18G to a 20G but the likes of Andy F & co recommended buying a 20G off the shelf and selling the 18G complete. The cost of the conversion is such that it's not worth doing.

OK, off the shelf 18g or 20g, will it fit straight on??

Read somewhere that inlet manifold needs changing or turbo will need twisting.....??
