Massive coolant leak
First off does anyone have a pic of the coolant system layout for a 93 WRX saloon? I have a massive leak somewhere under the inlet manifold, its not coming from the turbo or the idle speed control valve. It doesnt apear to be any of the heater matrix hoses. You can see some coolant sitting at the front of the engine just behind the alternator, the throttle housing and front of the intercooler are wet or more misted. I filled up the system and drove for 15 mls before the temp gauge started to go up, I stopped and it took 4lts of water. You can actually hear the water hissing out and theres loads of steam in that area but you cant see where its coming from. I know it could be any one of the hoses going to various parts under the manifold so a system diagrame would be great.
Ive just been out for a squint and Im pouring water in and its pouring out, its coming from the drivers rear of the engine. Basically the back of the sump, whats there? The only thing I can think of is a turbo hose.
Problem found I think, the hose which goes from throttle housing to the big water x/over pipe above the engines got 10mm split in it. Bit of a bitch to get to aswel.
