Default scoop help URGENTLY/DESPERATELY needed!!!...

OK, so i may be a cheating *******, but i'm going to put a scoop on my wagon to make me look more cooler and more of a man...

I have a black wagon and am thinking of a carbon scoop maybe, purely becasue i can't be doing with the hassle of getting sprayed when i know nowhere to do it around here, and do not know how to be sure it will come back the perfect colour. Anyone give me advice on this??? How do i tell them the exact colour of the car, as its black, but in some light has a slight metallicy blueness about it so...

I want a smaller scoop rather than a STI 8 monster type, classic long low scoops take my fancy. Like these...

just the main scoop...

i thought this may be good as the car is black too...

would the smaller one of these two fit properly onto my non turbo GX AWD bonnet?? SCOOBYPARTS LTD STI VERSION 8/9 STYLE BONNET SCOOP

When it comes to attatching it, ok i bolt the thing on, but should i cut the bonnet so it actually works (although it's obviously still not needed), or do i leave the bonnet? And if i leave it, will it fill with **** every time i drive and slow me down/cost £100000 more fuel per hour???!!!

Sorry for all the questions, Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help though!!!

why dont you just buy a second hand turbo bonnet in your exact colour! dont know about availability but it sure would cut out all the pissing around!

because i don't know whether a turbo bonnet would slot onto my car!! Would it? I don't know what is compatible and swappable between sports and wrx's etc etc becasue of different wings maybe alterimng bonnet shapes maybe. Understand what i mean??

I'd rather not spend money on a bonnet i don't need though...

i don't think these questions are very hard for anybody that has had to buy a scoop before that could help me out though. It's just i don't want to ***** it up as it's my first time at it all...

yeah a turbo bonnet will go straight on to your sport!
well you could try and cut a hole in your sport bonnet or you could stick a vent on with some good glue but at the end of the day its not going to look factory fitted is it!
what shape car do you have! if its a classic it will look funny anyway with out the two smaller vents
if your going to buy a vent though id get a quote from a bodyshop for them to fit it! it wont cost a lot and it wont look silly as if they get it a bit wrong they will have to sort it!

ok, now this is the help i'm after! Elementry things that i don't know lol.

It's an 02 bug eye. Fittedby a body shop - as in, they mould it into the bonnet and spray it? That, i would obviously prefer, but isn't it hundreds??

no i wouldnt of thought so! maybe 60-70 quid for cash!
best thing to do is ring a breaker and get a price on a bonnet and get a quote at the bodyshop and see wich one suits ya!
also worth saying that if you were to buy a turbo bonnet, on selling your car you have your non turbo bonnet to return it to standard! and a turbo bonnet to sell on!

yeah i will for sure. Getting tints tomorrow though so after shelling out for that i'll have to wait for a couple of weeks to get things moving again i reckon. I can get it all sorted in the mean time though.

Cheers again.
