guys cant figure out how to remove the upipe heatshield i can only just get my hand to it let alone the nuts holding it on, cant even figure out where the nuts are !!!

 

I could undo all of the nuts on mine but when it came to pulling it out it just wedged in there. I'm sure there's a way of getting it out, but i should imagine that they are fitted whilst they are out of the car.

 

Downpipe has to be moved out of the way first, so undo five bolts to turbo and two bolts to centre section.
Then five bolts securing uppipe to turbo and support bracket.
If its a catted WRX uppipe your trying to get off then undo drivers side engine mount and jack up engine & wiggle up-pipe downwards.
