Hiya,
a friend of mine's 98 Turbo 2000 has major problems at the moment. The car was stuttering on boost and eventually the car seemed to shut down. The's a burning smell coming from the exhaust which is definitely oil as the car nearly used all of its oil in under 5mins! The's also oil around the intercooler.
Im just wondering if anyone would know what it is that's wrong? Could the turbo be leaking oil into the engine? The car was purchased about a week ago but the garage doesn't want to know about it.
Please help!

 

sounds very likely you have a melted piston, either that or the seals in the turbo have disappeared...............

you need someone to look at it properly and then approach the garage concerned about payment of repairs or return of car
