Default 1993 wrx import water leak

hi all, help! started the car earlier and let it idle before i used it. happened to notice that it was leaking water with a hint of orange in it! it was quite a fast leak aswell. got underneath and had a good old look around but i am totally baffled. the water is dripping off a small rubber hose which goes into the oil filter and i cannot see where else it could come from. its not running onto the pipe from above as the top of the hose is dry! checked the oil, and all is fine. however, the coolant system was almost empty due to the leak obviously and had quite a fair bit of orange sludge in there! the car does not overheat, and it idles and goes fine from what i can tell! i am totally lost with this can anyone help. thanks ps i put a little water in the tank and noticed that it didnt leak as much, almost not at al????

Default Radiator??

I had the same problem, leaking water no source, but i managed to track it back to the radiator. There was a slit in the plastic just under the water hose.

I had a similar problem a fortnight ago.....the end tank on the radiator had split. It was nearly impossible to see the crack in the side, but when driving it came out under pressure wuite quickly. I filled up with water and brightly coloured coolant, went for a drive, then lifted the bonnet. It was then easy to find the leak as the area it was coming from was covered in pink coolant.
