Default Classic cranks

does anyone know if its true about there being only 3 types of crank for the classic and if so do you have any info on which is best, and which is in a 1996v-limited

Don't have a specific answer to your question but what I can say is that I had a version 9 crank put in my 98 STi when it was rebuilt.

All the Classics had the same crank. The only change was the position of thrust bearing, this was changed on the Phase 2 MY99-00 cars.
