hi all how can i tell if my ecu as bin chiped i know its got a Z5 in and on the dash it as two buttons that dont seem to do any thing but just read that these scooby ecus have a lead running from them so you can lower and up the boost can any on help thanks

 

Open it up, there may be a single chip or an adaptor mounted in one corner.

 

where is the ecu (my99)

 

its in the passenger footwell. lift up the carpet and take off the cover plate and its underneath.
