Default fuel pump fitting please

I am in the process of fitting a prodrive fuel pump to my newage sti.

I have installed the new pump and fitted the whole assembly back into the tank no probs.

I have then refitted the 2 rubber fuel hoses, but the 3rd one has a plastic L shaped connector which is causing me problems.

As i took it off (L shaped connector) 4 plastic/rubber washers came off the pipe assembly. When refitting i am putting them back-green then clear onto the pipe with the blue and black inside the pipe. This appears to be correct but i cannot push it onto the brown connector. I am stumped.

Any advice please.

you have to line up the from memory white (or was it black) bit of the connector with the slots in the brown bit..

the white bit comes in with a slot on either side.. you have to rotate the brown to line up.. it is just fiddly but should push on and give a satifying click once engaged.

If still a problem.. take a picture and post and should be able to confirm we are talking about the same connection.
