knock senser

Default knock senser

i have noticed that the knock senser flashes now and again but not very offten is this quite normal for some knock sensers to do this some times when i just turn the key and not starting it could my cliford alarm interfair with it as well thanks getting paranoid hearing noises from the car as my gt4 was very diffrent to the scooby

hope to put my mind a rest

Hi,

I think if it flickers when you turn the key its just because it is powering up/down... Nothing to worry about unless it is flickering when you have it floored...

If you've got it on its most sensitive and it is just flashing one green occasionally then I wouldn't worry about it. Mine flashes sometimes when engaging reverse as it seems to pick up some noise from the gearbox.

If it is lighting up lots of LEDs under load then you do need to start worrying, even if it is only for a fraction of a second as in that case it is much more likely to be showing real knock.

Default knock sens

ok thanks you have but my mide a rest it only does it when i start the engaine flickers for a split seconed if that could be just when i start it up as it dont do it when driven
