Haven't we been over this loads

Do a search

lol - K&N seem to have no failures mate so would be one of the best bets. Price is about 85 quid. Some people say makes a big difference, others say a good panel (ITG) is just as good.

Induction will give you more sound!!!

Plantie

I had a K+N Induction Kit on my P1 but it drove me crazy.....all that woshing all the time so I took it off and replaced it with a normal K+N element and I find that much better.

I didn't notice much if any power gain with the induction kit but feel that the element does add some small performance gains without that silly noise all the time.

Just my thoughts and opinions and I hope they are some use.

Cheers

Oi Plantie you muppet!

I'm what - 5 minutes from your place?

57i kit fitted if you want a ride (ooh err!)

Yup, it makes some induction/blow off noise, but with your atmos BOV, you won't be able to notice on the RB5!

As to power, dunno. Rolling road required to check any changes but I'd guess only a couple of hp really. Some say the top end breathing's better but I'm a good boy (honest officer) so I wouldn't know!

Cost is about £80 - £90 - don't pay anyone to fit it, it's a piece of p1ss with Chiark's instructions!

Give me a shout if you've any more questions mate.

Cheers,
Steve

Morning mate - you're right, Vizzavi is sh1te. Just had my e-mail to you bounce!

Here's the info I promised on the phone:

Nick's site: http://www.chiark.com/scooby/kandn.asp

Like I said, it's up to you if you think it's worth the risk of blowing the MAF, although the K&N seems less likely to by all accounts. Maybe a panel filter would be best (K&N, ITG etc.) in your case (MY99) - I mean, we're only talking a couple of bhp anyway.

Cheers,
Steve

Edited coz I forgot to make the URL work! 'Chelle's right - I'm a muppet

Depends whether you want the "swoooshing" sound, really...

I like it . But I'm a boy racer at heart.
