Default Broken oil pressure switch

I was in the middle of installing defi gauges and was removing the oil pressure switch......it was really stiff so put a bit of effort in with the old socket and it snapped off leaving half the thread of the switch in the adaptor.

I have another adaptor but the old one is causing me some problems coming out.
I have a 6 sided socket (rather than the crappy multi-sided one) but im worried at the same thing happening again.
Would my best bet be gentle heating with a blowtorch?

Thanks for any advice in advanced
Mike

Six sided socket(17mm) should be fine to undo it Mike.
They can be tight to undo if someone has used loctite on the
threads so a quick "jerk" anti-clockwise should do the trick.
