Default Stick actuator causing overboost?

I've been having trouble with this overboost for over a year! I got a Dawes device and set it to 1bar. You could see the boost gauge needle rise and then it would hit fuel cut.

I've just been looking at the actuator. So I took the heat shield off and then took the actuator arm off. I tried to pull it and it was really hard to pull. I took it off and put some WD40 on it and then pulled it a few more times. It's got much easier to pull now.

Could this sticky actuator have been causing my problems????

Thanks,

Nick

Still no luck, thought that was the culprit!

Any ideas anyone?

Actuator could be knackered, if it was sticking then it may have had oil contamination causing swelling. Lengthen the arm till it almost meets the fully closed wastegate and put back together. Also suspecting it's oil then clean out the boost solenoid, search on here for how to.

Could all be caused from an overfill of engine oil.
