POP goes the scooby, rebuild options...
Right after much fun this summer the Type R has killed its bottom end at shakespere raceway on sunday. Never mind, not the end of the world, but it does mean rebuild time, after some advice on my options at the moment, don`t mind saving for a while and spending a bit on it, but would like to spend the money wisely! Scoobyclinic will be doing the work either way, as i am a mechanical novice and really don`t have the experience to tackle it.
Current spec:
Scoobyclinic full system.
K+N panel filter.
Uprated Fuel Pump.
ECUtek Remap.
316bhp 319lbft
My original thoughts were to go for a rebuild that would cope with around 350bhp incorpoating maybe a different turbo, td0520g?, (Currently on a VF25) headers, a FMIC, pressure reg etc.
But i hadn`t considered the EJ25 short motor option! The price for this alone would be quite high, would this require or at least benefit from a bigger turbo? FMIC would be included either way.
Still a scooby newbie here, so any advice would be usefull!!!

That would be the one! Was having great fun till it went pop Wasted a V8 mustang and pipped a modded EVO IV Saw you drive past.
I`ve got plenty of time to plan what i wanna do, but i shall give this fella at API a call then. I`ve had a good scout round on the projects section, few ideas starting to formulate!

few ideas,,,lol....
i have been looking for ideas for over a year now, lol.
i have sat down with David for 3 hours to discuss my up coming rebuild, very impressed with his service
but i have just had a massive repair bill on my own lorry, so the scoob has to take a back seat for a while
