Anyone had probs with V power?
Filled up on Saturday with V power but never got chance to give it a thrash as I was on my way up the lakes so kept under 60 mph most of the way as there are lots of scamera vans etc up that way.
When I got home on Tuesday I had a blast up the bypass and notiched I had knock readings of 59 and 18 on tickover/start up.
I filled up and tryed it again, this time I had a reading of 32 at which is back to normal.
Anyone else had these problems?

esl say on their website that during testing of their ecu board that both v-power and tesco 99 ron had quality issues somtimes it would be fine and then other times they would get a "bad batch" of fuel and have much higher knock levels. They recommend keeping an eye on the knock levels with each tank of fuel and using octain booster if you get a bad batch. Mail Andy at http://www.enduringsolutions.co.uk for his opinion or just read the website

With regard to engine load, a cold day will have similar effects on all ECU's
The maf used by all Subaru OEM ECU's (and the Apexi) will automatically compensate for denser air, adding more fuel and retarding ignition as required.
Aftermarket ECUs which use pressure and temperature to simulate a mass flow do a similar thing.
The one factor affecting all ECU's is the boost control, on a cold day the turbo will be a bit 'friskier' which may lead to the odd spike in boost.
