Default Throttle position sensor

"Apexi ECU & warning light" thread also about this problem.

Does anyone know, what happens when this is on the way out, both with standard ECUs and Apexi ?

Where it is and what it looks like, is it adjustable ?

Thanks

If throttle position sensor is dud then ECU will misread engine load and possibly cause detonation due to altered fuel and ignition settings. Its a black plastic electrical thingy on the side of the throttle housing.

Thanks.

I'm not getting detonation - everything seems to be fine, except when throttle is closed after booting it.

What makes the Apexi light the engine warning light apart from knock ?

Thanks

knock flashes the engine light..

any sensor out of range will illuminate it.. TPS, MAF, O2, Injectors at max, map etc.. as well as a few others that I cannot think of off the top of my head..

You'll see them listed on the commander, along with the switches..

The problem you mention is not going to effect fuelling.. the tps is just droppipng below the minimum on lift off from high rpm.

Whatever function you have enabled will make it flash.
Knock, Injector Duty, Mass air flow and Overboost are all options.
