Unhappy Coolant loss - help!!

Did about a 40 mile journey in my standard my00 turbo 2day taking it pretty steady most of the time . Stropped let the car tick over for about 2 mins and turned it off. When i got out water was pissing out in the front passenger corner (where the yellow cap is)loads of it!!

Topped it back up with about 3ish ltrs of water whilst squezing the bottom hose. Then drove back not going over 2000 rpm(took bloody ages!!) and had heaters on full, everything seemed ok temp gauge fine, when i stopped it all seemed ok.

Later when cooled down had a look cant see anything obvious ie no sludge in oil or water cos im thinking head gasket

Or maybe thermostat

Its only just had its 90000 mile service and this was the longest journey since then - b4 that only 15 miles.

Help!!! any ideas????

Cheers davy b

I think the 90k recent service may well be the clue.
Its a coolant and cambelt change. A radiator hose may well have been starined or pulled off and not seated properly.

Either that or the plastic ends on the radiator go around 90k onwards. Took me ages to find the leak, replaced all the hoses first as i thought they were split. Next time its up to temperature check as it won't seep out until really hot. Hopefully its just a loose hose!
