INDUCTION AND UPRATED DV
I've had my 03 WRX PPP for a couple of weeks now and I'm just wondering if there's any gain in fitting an uprated dv and / or uprated induction?
I had a HKS Super power flow kit on my old scooby (95 wrx) and also an ARC blow off valve, so that's where my curiousity has come from!
How would they affect the PPP, good or bad?
Dave

this will run and run really but to summarise the comments that people will add below:
dump valves - great sound/chav/will kill your maf
induction kits - rubbish/superb/pointless/depends on whether you at over 350bhp
* please delete as appropriate
Sorry but difficult question really.
IMO
dump valves are a nice ish sound on track but get really annoying for everyday use, have a high chav value and can sometimes screw stuff up with your engine from what people have said.
induction kits - what is the point of putting a air intake within the hot engine bay? - if you are going to do some induction mods make it grab some cold air at least
hope that helps.

One of the things I was looking at was a foglight blank for the driver's side with an air intake in it (they have them on www.japanparts.com) which would be a "ramair" feed to the induction
Would this be a better option combined with an uprated panel filter in the standard airbox?
Again though, how would this affect the ppp ecu? IIRC there were issues with det after fiddling with induction etc. without remap....I had an AFR gauge on my old scoob and never experienced problems myself but sure I remember people having problems?

That is what I have done - grabs cold air from the front
I have mated this to the bottom of the intake elbow where the silencer part would normally be (I chopped the silncer off) so that it has air feed from snorkel and the front. Seems to flow really nicely and intake temps are vastly down - runs at ambient when moving.
