Hi all, I have been reading many posts on Resonator Boxes and removal...

I'm running a 1996 Wagon.........and would like to hear the turbo a little more, so thinking about removing the resonator.....now I keep hearing about the a box being in the wing......but are there two or something....to me the res box is the thing between air filter box and the turbo......

Anyway, it is one from the air box to the turbo that I'm looking at....there are two additional pipes going to this box, a small 8mm one underneith and a larger 25/30mm one on the side....do these have to in the air flow, or can the be vented to air?

Any one done this mod and have any photos from a home job?

the resonator box you keep reading about is in the drivers side wing, it's where the airbox in the engine bay draws it's air from

 

i just did this mod on my 05 sti and i love the sound!! its the 1st mod and the sound is sweet def do it

jack the car up, take wheel out. take the black cover out 2 bolts out and thats it
