hi mate, I'm not a scooby expert, but I would make note of the VIN number and then call someone like Roger Clark Engineering....they will tell you exactly what she is......they are a good bunch and open Saturdays...

OH OK. I'm still fairly new to scoobs myself. I think the facelift may have come out later than a P reg, but plenty of people fit the facelift front to an older classic.
Do you mean you want know if its a WRX or not?
Those un-colour coded mirrors mean something, can't remember what though.

Im new to it too, all i know is that they revised it between 96-98 and from 98-2000 was the proper facelifted classic, i just wanted to know if mine fell into the revised bit, i think ill pop down to subaru tom

if it's not got 4 pots then it's a MY96/7 if it has the top box in the dash, non slanty intercooler, and one coil pack on top of the engine then I belive it will be an MY97.. IIRC

What colour dials? And what size wheels?

MY '97on, got white dials and 16" wheels, iirc, but still had 2-pot brakes. 4-pots came in in 99, as did different wheels, a different bumper, and a larger spoiler.

I'd put money on yours being an early 97

I got grey dials, 16 inch wheels, coil pack on top of engine, non slanted intercooler with recirc valve on right hand side of cooler. As for mods what year do i go for? up to 96 or 97 on?
