Default Possible Future Project for Newage

I have been recently been offered a 2.5 STI engine + Gearbox for a few £££

I am very tempted to purchase this, I have looked through the forums and have found that it should not be to hard to tranfer this into a Newage WRX, but i have a few questions regarding the DCCD gearbox.

The STI has a display on the dash to show which mode the box is in full auto to manual override setting.

1) will the gearbox work with out the dash readout.

2) can i replace the instruments for an STI set without changing the Loom.

Also am going to go for the full T25 kit from Powerstation just before christmas. and possibly a break upgrade sometime early next year.

Overall I am looking for a relable 400BHp and 400lb/ft.

By doing this i am looking at creating a wolf in Sheeps cloth. a normal WRX with 400Bhp which i hope will be able to hold its own against the likes of the Evo IX.

Overall on the engine build i am looking at spending no more than around £8000 + Engine. including all other items tiems required such as fuel pump etc. But i am also tempted by the 2.5 Engine build for the T25 at £10k but then that does not get me the DCCD gearbox

Steve

the dash will display the dccd !! adding a gearbox from an sti wont give you this !! i dont know the cost of the 6 speed box but speaking from experience i would rather spend my cash on a ppg gearset and mod your 2ltr engine the right way, that wil see some good results
