hi . i have just installed one of these monitors in my 03 wrx ppp .does anyone have any idea what settings i need for my alarms ie high boost,high coolant temp etc ....thanks wayne

 

Dont know what boost a 03 wrx with ppp will run as "norm", maybe 1.2-1.3 bar?...I know the max the sex monitor will run is 24.7 psi although I run more boost (so I dont have that alarm set, just level alarm level at zero). Coolant alarm, from memory, is set to 103 deg max...as mine seems to run from 96-99 as norm and doesn't go much higher. You're best getting oil temp sensor also, as that key for when booting her...but not cheap..

Do a few top gear runs to see your max boost is (as sex mon allows reading of max on menus) and set alarm just fraction above that...

MY01 WRX (ECUTEK)

I've set my PSI3 with the following alarms.

Boost - 1.35bar (peaks at around 1.30)
Coolant - 97 degrees C
Oil Pressure - 5.5 bar

It's already given me a good warning, following my decat and remap it started alarming on boost pressure, peaking at 1.50 bar. Straight back to the mapper who put it right! Sorted.

 

Yeh, sex monitor is ace...I've got extra alarm lights on the steering console and on the main dash...It's good to know when oil temps go silly...etc.
