decatted the up pipe, removed the egt sensor, fitted 2.2ohm resistor, cel wont go off. tried with select at subaru garage comes straight back on. monitor saying low temp 200'c. anyone help? light is now doing my head in, plus if that is on i wont know if anything else is wrong.

off the top of my head shouldn't the resistor be 2K ohm ?

Midlife is correct. You need a 2.2Kohm resistor. Four or five re-starts of the car will clear the CEL permanently.
