Got in my car this morning drove to top of road (half mile) and cel light came on and stayed on . stopped for fuel then started again and cel light still on ! also noticed that the radiator fan was running constant even though it was stone cold ? car drove ok and i got to work .
now lunch time got in it and it would not start , was trying to but was as though it was flooded ! then after 5 attempt it started but very lumpy then evened out so swichted of . after work bad starting again but went after 5th attempt and rad fan was still coming on . checked stuff under bonnett all ok so done an ecu reset and no code flashes apart from the flash on and of every half secend which means all ok ? drove car home all ok , no cell light on and normal good starting !! although still getting high tick over 1000-1100 rpm which it never done before . as in my previous post the cell light has come on a couple of times in the morning when cold but only stays on for 5 secs and goes out , also no codes showing when trying a reset ! engine management switch playing up ??? its getting on me **** now and i know that in the morning it will come on again !!! also high tick over is costin more fuel !

 

maybe the coolant temp sensor
