Hi there mate!

I'm new here too as I've just bought a Scooby Type RA.
Basically the Subura Type RA stands for Race Altered or Rally Altered in Japan, they ship these out to the Rally teams for them to prepare for Rallies. The RA limited editions are customer prepared versions of the Rally Cars they send out to the teams.
Mine is 280bhp - I think they all are - and it only weighs 1065kg which is pretty light when you think of the power!
I have number 766 of 1000 1997 Jap Import - I'm not sure if they are all LEs but it's nice to check...

check the chassis plate, it will give a model code, cant remember off top of my head but its listed on here somewhere, if its an sti ra it will have a roof vent, i have a 93 RA, it has no electric windows or c/l, no side skirts so looks plainer than WRX, but does she go!

go over to www.type-ra.co.uk

Not all are limited editions.
They had various options, ie stereo, IC spray, electric pack.

If you've driven and are used to Imprezas then you'd know if it's an RA by the shear acceleration

hi i have an ra and the only problem with it, is the gear box is very close ratio, 6000 rpm for 100mph, motorway driving is slow, if you dont want to screem the nuts off of it. but on a tight race track its great fun
