Default STi Backbox

I have a standard jap STi V backbox on my standard UK classic. I was reading in the (frankly rather disapointing) Subaru supplement in this months Jap Performance magazine that this backbox was 'free flow to allow STi V to run more boost.' Does this mean that it should give a little more power than the standard twin pea shooter UK backbox? Also would this be viable to keep when I fully decat the car later this year? I was going to get a prodrive box but really want to keep the noise to a minimum.

Thanks

Stephen

In my experience there is very little difference between stock Euro and STi backboxes for the classic.
