Default ECU RESET.

Just went to reset my ECU on my 97 type r. Noticed that under the dash there were the 2 unconnected green connectors and 4 black connectors that were already plugged together. Connected the green ones and did the reset as described and the check engine light was flashing at regular intervals. I take it that this means there are no errors and the ecu has been reset. I then turned the car off, disconnected the green ones leaving the 4 black ones still plugged together. Does this seem right and has the ECU now been reset?

Half second flashes mean the ECU has reset and no errors are showing.

You need to unplug the black connectors located nearby. This should stop the engine light flashing on the dash.
