fittings a doddle around 125 for each pipe maybe a little more for the downpipe if buying new.

Last month I paid around £80 (just fitting from turbo back) to have my exhaust replaced with a decat one.

Powerstation charged me 3 hours labour - think that's their standard downpipe fitting charge. Stung a little.

yeah if the bolts are okay its an hour job taking your time for the downpipe, however more often than not on the older classics, the bolts seize which as WRX Rich says is a right PITA

Default Up-pipe and down pipe

Hi i had my down pipe replaced for a de-cat at Stella motors in the High peak for £64+vat on a 93 WRX they quoted the same for the up pipe. They have done all my work so far, which includes headers, parrallel fuel rails top mount etc. They have always been very reasonable on price and proffesional.
I can give you their number if it helps anyone.

I got charged for 10 hrs labour @£38/hr to do the uppipe on a '93 wrx.

I had a mild go at them saying they were incompetent, especially so as they said they had to remove the turbo etc etc.

They seemed not to realise that having the car for 3 days and charging that much for the job was unreasonable.

BTW when I posted my experience here some nutters thought it was OK (garage owners?)

My advise therefore is to go somewhere that is reccommended by someone you trust and has done the job a number of times before, even if it means a long journey.
