Default Cat replacement pipe

Ive just bought a cat replacement pipe for my 52 bugeye wrx and was wondering if ive bought the correct one cos the one ive bought is for a sti from 01-05. Can anyone tell me if it will fit my motor. It has a nut welded to the side, Any ideas what thats for and a bracket with a hole in it?. Are they difficult to fit and can i expect a difference in performance and exhaust note. Dont want much do i? ha ha. any help would be appreciated thanks

It should fit no probs, I think you may notice a slight diff in exhaust note especially at higher revs, but performance I don't think so you need to go full de cat for that really!

Thanks for the reply. I was told it gives an extra 10 bhp but i thought that sounded a bit much for a simple mod
