Have checked in archives & based on my cars recently aquired habbit of smoking on tickover when hot, I think my turbo seals are dead / on way out

im not too surprised as its a 1995 JAP on original TD04 ( wagon ) , recently bumped the boost up to 1bar & its all been too much for the old girl ?

it looks like a fairly easy job ( based on the linked instructions ) but where can I get a seal kit at a reasonable price ?..... also is the main seal actually metal to metal ?

dont suppose it could be something else I havent thought of ? any cheaper options would be most appreciated.....

no doubt loads of yah are thinking I should change it for something a bit more impressive TD05 etc.. but its an auto, so would probably be a waste of time / money anyway........
