Default Lower intake temps

i want to lower my intake temps so am thinking about fitting a FMIC to do this, not planning on a remap or anything just yet to get the gains, waiting until i change the turbo to a td05 or similar...

so does a FMIC lower temps much more than the standard TMIC?
the car is a MY98 turbo wagon with dawes at 1.1bar filter and decat downpipe.

any downsides on doing this? lag? anything?

Cheers

It takes a good few hours to fit!
Not much point if you ain't planning on running higher than 330+bhp
Try a TMIC from an STi, I hear there abit bigger than standard
