Default Why no twin exits?

Hi there, new member here, i'm looking to be getting a black wrx wagon in the very near future
(anybody want my family car to help funds? 05 corsa lol)
Anyway... i'm doing all my research on here before i start scouting for the one i want, for example where i'm looking for rust, common leaks ETC ETC as you do...

Also, I will be lightly modifying it, now i LOVE either twin back box's or twin exits, and then it came to me, i've not saw a twin exit system on a scoob before?? at first i thought this MUST be a performance reason, i thought perhaps that the back pressure wouldn't be neough with a split system, but then surely you could compensate with a smaller bore pipe???

If anybody knows the pros and cons of making a smaller bore for a split straight through system? ijust can't get my head around this? or isit just everybody prefers 3/4/5" slash pipes that i see on EVERY scoob lol

Anyway, thats my intro, as of yet, i know NOTHING about what i'm about to buy in the future....but i will before i buy

Cheers

AAron

Welcome to S/N
IMHO, and you'll get loads on here, the twin exit system will look like a wheelbarrow.

I cannot comment on perfomance, I just know that a H&S d/p back was the way to go for me.

I have a Power Engineering T75 on my car and that has twin round exits and in my opinion twin exits look sooooo much better then the industrial catering size bean cans that most aftermarket exhausts are made of.

So they have been done then, thats good to know, i was just going to keep the standard exhaust until i NEEDED a new one, but if i can get and idea of the bored you people have put on then, i can put the twin i want on....

honest opinions dont care to me, whenever i need to konw if sumit looks god, i ask a child...they dont hold back, they just let rip lol

i'll be having 2x 3.5"twin back boxes on the split system....i KNOW many of you are going to think it's totally chavtastic...but.... i lovem, my old escort had them and they are going to be my trade mark on any car i buy to mod lol

so any sizes guys?
