Default dump valve picture

can anybody sort me out with a picture of a dump valve on a my94 wrx? reason I'm asking is cos I need to compare it with mine - mine seems to have had a repair on the pipe going into the housing and I think it might be leaking as the outside appears to have oil on the pipe and I'm getting dog**** fuel economy

think you will find there should not be any oil running through the pipe

if it had a split in it the car would not ide right

as for dog **** fuel aconomy that will just be the car

thats just what i think , sure someone will put me right if am wrong

don't think the oil's running through the pipe - it's the stuff that they've sealed the repair with that feels "oily", the idle is a bit off but another thread said that ****e fuel consumption and a bad idle could be the dump valve - if it's not sealed properly then surely this must be it? or am I way off the mark? if I get chance later on I'll post a picture of the repair
