I'd love to know where you can get a Z32 MAF for £20! Mine was £90 second hand! The point of this is the standard MAF is maxing out - reading nearly 5.1V using 1.35Bar boost. The Nissan Z32 MAF can reportedly read enough air flow for well over 400BHP - plenty for me!

Same here Theotherphil. My MAF max's out, I paid similar as you for one from USA off a 300zx.

Hope my soldering is up to it!

Hi Andrew

Don't know if you can help further...

my Z32 MAF ex 300 ZX does come with 6 pins, all wired, as follows
not sure which end is A but... based on 2 locating slots on top and 3 beneath ...

A green/yellow
B black
C black
D black
E black/white
F red/white

One of the black wires is shielded and covered in grey sheath in the loom tail.

Doesn't seem to match your layout of Z32 wiring??

PS my z32 maf has 5410C on the maf element.

Vulnax999, if you look at the connector socket it should have A-F embossed into it. My MAF has an orange sticker on the side with the numbers 22680 30P00 (80mm and good for 500hp). A quick google of that number brings this up: clicky amongst others.

Is that 22680-54C01? If so, according to this that is a 50mm MAF suitable for 290bhp and not a Z32 MAF

It wouldn't be wise to use the z32 maf unless its part of a remap session to recalibrate the settings

Ok, my mistake...
The Nissan MAF that I metioned was the same as the SUbaru one, just to exchange the knackered original.
It comes from a Nissan Almera Diesel, numbers I have to llok up but it's the exact same as a MY99-00 Subaru MAF.

You got me worried then.

OK, checked again, the maf socket DOES have a-f marked on, with no pins in a and f position. I amended my above post with wire colour/positions.
The harness plug wires correspond to the other link for 300zxt ( although no idea what the 2 end ones are for as not connected to MAF ! ).

It is 80 mm od, 74 mm id MAF tube.

The label is shiny aluminium, looks like it's been cleaned with solvent ( can see vague marks ), the 5410C is embossed into the label.

The only 300ZX MAFs I have seen are (orange) labeled part no. 22680 30P00 A36-000 N62, they are physically Identical to the MY92-96 WRX MAF (ie same moulding) but with a different wiring connector.

Andrew...
