SMOKE
hi there,i have 93 wrx estate and every now and then i can smell burning,so i looked under the bonnett with the engine running and around the turbo area i could see a puff of smoke come up,is there any oil pipes that fail in this area and can i replace them with ease?

Most likely to be your cam cover seals.
They leak regular and drip oil on the exhausts.
Fix is new ones and install with plenty of good sealer. 3 bond grey is excellent.

are the cam cover seals easy to replace?this is the first scooby ive owned so im worrying about every little thing i find wrong,its not alot of smoke but cant see where the oil is dripping from and what its dripping onto!

They are a bit fiddly but not that difficult.
put it this way, its well within the reach of everyone but a complete mechanical numpty.

ok thanks for the advice,are they easier to get to underneath or from the top?im gunna have a good look at the weekend as im worried of getting a fire!!
