what power would a wrx take on the standard internals and the same for the gearbox

Scoobynet lore is that after 350hp you start getting gearbox problems. As for the lump itself, IIRC up to 350bhp should be OK as long as everything else is in place to achieve this. Although I could be wrong. But it goes a long way to explaining why a lot of people tune up to get just over the 300bhp mark then leave it at that. 300bhp in a road going Scooby is plenty fast enough on British roads LOL

Gearbox longevity also depends a lot on how you treat it. Andy F said I was a bit a bit heavy handed with my changes when really going for it, so I'll need to calm down a bit
