Default help

hi all need help i have a 03 wrx just put a new exhaust on straight through from the turbo,but the last few days the check engine light has come on me mate said ineed a chip to go on the ecu & that takes the light off, is this true if so whats it called

You have CEL P0420 (cat below efficiency) .....obviously as it's not there

You can either have the car remapped (EcuTeK) to remove the CEL and gain a few BHP ...TOP choice

Or you can buy a CEL fix from a number of suppliers which fools the ECU into thinking the rear lambda sensor is sending the correct signal. Scoobyworld do one I think. Usually about 40 quid.

I would DEFINATELY get it remapped, otherwise you could be heading for engine trouble. IMO. It'll set you back around £600-£700 but it's worth it.

Plus you'll get LOADS more power, ~40-60bhp and a shed load of torque.
