ECU fast learn
I'm going to change my MAF then do an ECU reset on my MY00 scoob (P1).
Has anyone tried the ECU fast learn thing as seen here NASIOC
or is it a lot of rubbish?
Cheers.

If ive reset my ecu(because i havnt fitted the "no cats" CEL fix for bugeye),i normally try to hold it a 0.5 bar going up a hill in 3rd.
On my SECS monitor you can actually see it piling on the ign advance/knock control in a matter of seconds. If you let it do it itself by driving normally it can somtimes take a few trips for it to learn the ign advance/knock control again.

You need to ease the boost up to 0.7/0.8 bar using 5th gear and hold like that for say 10 secs, when you reset the ecu you lose all the learning including knock detection and fuel learning, there really is no need to reset when changing a maf, the ecu itself move quickly as long as you are easing the load on, sharp changes in load when its toasty will cause it to suck its teeth and retard v quickly, it then takes longer to learn back as its sensitivity is different. But bear in mind that the Yanks don't have GC8 ecu's which work a little differently, the new age ecu's are far more adaptive than these.
