Default engine problem

hi everyone just signed up to scoobynet so im new, well had my scooby for a year now and have loved every minute of ownership, but its started to go a bit funny, when running, the engine has started to get a bit shakey, and when driving it gets a little jerky, it picks up then for a split second you feel it loose power then pick up again, anyone no what the problem maybe cheers.

1
Take it to Scooby Clinic not too far from you.(Cesterfield iirc)
2
DIY?
Go back to basics first, plugs out, clean etc (best fit new ones), all electrics and all fuel, ie new filter etc

If you are not familiar with Impreza's go to the Clinic.

Hope that helps.
By the way, you need to be far more detailed about the car, age/type/mods etc to narrow the field!

Question

MAF? Disconnect the MAF sensor and see if it keeps running. If it does go and buy a new one and replace it.

More likely to be MAF on MY 99 onwards if a classic
