Hi, Ive got a 98 type r, had a GEMS ECU fitted and mapped by Steve Simpson, also fitted an uprated fuel pump and APS exhaust system, it was dynoed at 330bhp and 330lbs tourque, it went really well for a few months but then went bang but everything else was standered so it was my own fault. I would definatley reccomend it plus Steve is a very nice guy

Also the GEMS does away with the MAF sensor and plums in a air temp sensor on the intercooler instead

Yea i had Autosportive in Bicester build me one of thier rally spec 2.2 litre engines, very costly but very bullet proof, i ran it for a year and a half without any problems, but ive taken it off the road now as more mods taking place, im fitting an APS SR55 turbo, APS front mount intercooler, Andy Forrest 800cc injectors, parallel fuel rail mod, SX fuel pressure regulator, uprated breather system,GT spec 2 unequal lenth headers and up pipe then ill get steve to re-map it, hoping to see at least 400bhp, its not an everyday car but i would still like some reliability

Yes ,Richard mapped my 93 RA , but its a rally car which has to run a 34mm air intake restrictor in the turbo(so no power made past 5250rpm).
Mods are 440 injectors (matched and balanced), uprated fuel pump,sti5 intercooler, full decat, headers, new coil packs and plugs.
The figures came out at 279bhp and 330lbs/ft torque.

Do tractive have their own dyno to map the cars and do they have a good hourly rate?

we have had 2nd in class on two occasions...but not any outright wins.

We are up against some serious competition, with people with very large budgets....

All things considered, we do pretty well at the moment...

Richard mapped our car at POWER ENGINEERING on their rollers...

I am not sure what the arrangement is at his premises, because its a fairly new setup.
