Default speedo issue

hello

i have a problem on a subaru i just bought,

the speedo doesnt work, however the milage is stil working,

the needle its the wrong side of the stop pin. and when foot down a little the speedo goes the opposite way around!

It's nackered .Also the ECU will be unable to read the speed properly and the car will start to run really rich and overboost so it's better to get it sorted sooner rather than later.

With your speedo not working i'm supprised you haven't had the ecu chk light flash up. Exceed approx 3000rpm and the car jolts violently. Chk the fault history and the speed sensor code will come up. Code 33 iirc.

My expeariance is based on the classic Scoob.

Remove the speedo clock & try to fix the needle position. Try searching for the white dials conversion. This at least might save you on getting a 2nd hand speedo clock.
