Question carbon can/collector removal

I believe the black carbon collector(not sure of the proper name) cannot be just be removed without it affecting the running of the engine,so i was wondering how you lot got around removing it as i would like to make some space for boxing in the induction kit in?

Tee the 2 pipes together and vent the pipe into the chassis,I left the 1 way valve in line.

thanks for your help, just to be sure you blank off the pipe ontop of the inlet and vent the other pipe into the chassis with the nrv in the line?
