Default Strut Brace Question

I have recently been given a STI strut brace to go onto my '93 WRX

However, when fitting i had a problem. The 3 holes on each side where it bolts onto the struts seem too big...infact the fit over the nuts.

At the moment i have undone the nuts, put a thick washer over the holes, and bolted down ontop. (Put thread-lock on to be safer)

Will this be ok, or am i going to have problems? I have been paranoid ever since i fitted it.

(sorry if the above makes little sense, i know what i mean, just can't put it into words!!)

I would suggest that your struit brace is doing the square root of fukc all if it is not tight up to the thread on the struts, if you have used washers to space it out to support it then the brace is free to move within the space of the washers, ie not bracing at all.

Im not sure top strut braces do fukc all anyway much better to have a lower ladder section brace

Don't really think it makes any diffence (well, it wouldn't anyway they way it's fitted), but i thought ''ooooohhh....carbon!!!''
