Question PowerFC/Lambda sensor problem

Hi I have a problem with my Lambda sensor on my MY97WRX I think , the car will not idle until I adjust the Idle Control Valve fully Open. My PowerFc reports healthy O2 figures 0.86/0.88v on boost and fluctuates when cruising, but when coming to a standstill reads 0v. The Lambda sensor has been changed recently, admittedly for a non oe sensor, which hasnt changed the symptoms, but what could possibly cause good readings on boost/cruise but nothing at idle?.

Thanks.

I might be wrong, but it could be the idle control valve sticking.. I had this problem in hot weather. did you have a 4 wire conversion?

Thumbs up

The replacement O2 sensor was a 3 wire type, the same as the oe sensor that came off, I forgot to say that I have replaced the Idle Control Valve and Dump Valve in an effort to find a solution already.

Thanks.

Sounds like its duff, they have a heater to bring them up the temp before the exshaust temps kicks in. Have you tried switching it off with the hand controller and seeing if it still drives the same?

No I havent tried switching it off, sounds like a good next step to isolate the faulty component. Thanks for that.

I think I found it yes, didnt change the stalling at idle though , so chances are that might be the problem.
