Default HEAD GASKETS

>ONE OF THE HEAD GASKETS HAVE GONE ON MY TYPE R
ITS ONLY LEAKING WHEN ON BOOST I`VE DIAGNOSED THAT AIR IS LEAKING FROM 1 OR MORE CYLINDERS INTO THE COOLANT SYSTEM AND OVER PRESSURIZING IT TO LEEK OUT OF THE OVER FLOW TANK.
I`VE DONE A QUICK EMISSIONS TEST ON THE HEADER TANK PROVING EXHAUST GASSES ARE IN THE COOLANT SYSTEM.
HAD THE SAME TROUBLE ON MY COSSIE AND FIXED IT MY SELF REPLACING THE HEAD GASKET.

SO WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS HOW HARD IS THE JOB AND HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO DO MY SELF BEAR IN MIND I`VE ONLY WORKED ON COSWORTH ENGINES BEFORE.
I KNOW THE ENGINES GOT TO COME OUT ECT.
ALL ADVISE VERY WELCOME.

:-/YES IT MAKES YOU SICK WHEN THIS HAPPENS :-/

not a bad job to do about 5hours from start to finish on the ones i have done you can see on the heads where the gasses escape from you will need the heads skimming and the block checked with a flat edge
always replace the water pump and thermostat when doing the job.
