Default Please help central locking is killing me!!

Hi i posted up a while ago about my central locking playing up. It recently went through the stage of it was happy to unlock the doors but wouldn't lock them. It was tempremental at first but now its gone completly dead.
I have been trying to find the problem for weeks and im completly stuck now.
I have changed the drivers door lock and central locking part at the bottom.
I have also now changed the central locking door timer (i think this is the relay that controls it)
I have circuit tested all the fuses in the car and also can't see any probs with any under the bonnet.
The only thing that i think must be relevant that i know is wrong is: Theres a red and a black wire that go to the central locking switch on the drivers door. The red wire used to have 12v going through it when the door was locked i think. It now has nothing going through it regardless of the position of the lock. Occasionaly it has an reading going through it of 4v but more lately it seems to only rarely go up to 0.51v. So i guess thats where the fault is but how do i fix it??
Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks

Yeah i was gonna do that but the prob is that it comes from the door lock timer.. ive got another one on the way now because they looked identical but the part numbers were slightly different.
I'll try the new relay thing but if that doesn't work i'll give it a go
