Ive noticed ever since I got my car (pre-registered MY05 WRX bought in Feb this year) that whenever I have the aircon running it imtermittently makes a hissing noise which is quite audible in the cabin.

Im pretty sure my old MY03 didnt do this, is it because the new model has climate control whereas the old model was manual aircon or does it need checking out?

 

Can anyone comment on whether their car does this or not before I ask the dealer to take a look at it?

my o5 STi has also done this from new. I believe it it perfectly normal.

In fact thinking about it, my 03 STi did it as well.
