Sump problems
How the **** do you tighten up the rear most sump bolts presuming you've not tightened them up while the engines was out
How do people swap sumps with the engine in place?

Remove engine mounting nuts
Remove bulkhead to gearbox pitch mount
Hoist engine up as high as it is feasible (check nothing gets squished)
Use either 1/4 drive or 3/8ths socket, universal joint, then long extension bars, then ratchet (1/4 is better)
Its a **** of a job removing and replacing the sump in situe!!!
Steven
ps Lots of patience (how i managed it i dont know)

TBH, it can be done fairly easily without lifting the engine, although the rear sump bolts are almost obscured by the subframe.
You won't be able to do it easily without the use of a decent 1/4 drive UJ and 10mm socket.
I found that you need to undo all the sump bolts and allow the front of the sump to drop down, then undo the 2 bolts securing the pickup pipe and the 1 securing the bracket (don't lose the O-Ring from the pickup )
Once the pickup is undone, then it's fairly easy to remove the sump, by carefully bringing it forwards and down.

Fiestaboy, your probably right on a standard sump, the one i did was fully baffled (not just welded up) and was a tw@t.
Mark doesnt have to remove the sump, he only needs to tighten 2 of the rear bolts, luckily for him
Mark, removing the headers allowed a little better access from different angles.
If you can lift the engine, do it.
