Can anyone map it? As I've heard that some mappers password protect it ie... Steve Simpson, is this true?
I wanna run through a few things with Steve, but can't get hold of him at the moment...
The idea was that my sister's boyfriend was gonna map it... but if the above is true, that may put a end to that idea???

Off topic has anyone got a pic of the Gems dongle and where it plugs into?

 

the "dongle" is plugged into the laptop (forms part of the licence) to allow it to communicate with the ECU..........

as for password protect this is only an issue if you wish to "see" the original map or vary it slightly, not an issue at all if your going to start from scratch

The dongle is not cheap, so unless your sister's boyfriend has one you will have to pay out as much as a resonably priced remap for just the dongle.
